Roman Surzhykov was born and lives in Kyiv. According to the author himself, he began writing stories at about the age of five. By the age of fifteen, he was writing full-fledged novels. He first took the trouble to write them down at the age of eighteen.

His first published novel, and indeed his first novel, was “Arrow, Coin, Spark.”

At the moment, the author has written the entire Polaris cycle (6 books), which readers appreciate as a strong and fascinating epic. 4 out of 6 books in the Polaris cycle received the “Book of the Year” award according to the international online resource fantlab.org
